In short

Your purchase lets you install Hangar on the devices included in your plan and use it for personal and commercial work, including client files. Everything you make is yours. You may not resell or redistribute the app itself, or share your key to get around the device limit.

1. The license we grant

When you buy Hangar, Eliot Fagnon grants you a worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Hangar on up to the number of devices included in your plan (Solo for 1 device, Crew for 3 devices, Fleet for 10 devices). The license is yours, or your organization's if it bought the license, and it is a one-time purchase with no recurring fee.

2. What you may do

3. Devices and your license key

Your license key activates Hangar on the number of devices in your plan. If you replace a computer or need to move your license, contact us and we will reset your activations for you. Keep your license key to yourself: it is personal to you, and you should not post it publicly or share it so that more than your allowed number of devices run Hangar at once.

4. What you may not do

5. Updates

Your license includes the updates we publish for the version of Hangar you bought, so you keep getting fixes and improvements. If we release a major new version as a separate product in the future, it may be offered as a new purchase.

6. Ownership

Hangar and everything in it remain the property of Eliot Fagnon and our licensors. This license gives you the right to use the app on the terms above. It does not transfer ownership of the software to you. The files you process and the outputs you create are entirely yours, and we claim no rights over them.

7. Open-source components

Hangar includes third-party open-source software, which is provided to you under its own licenses. Those components are listed within the app, and your rights to them are governed by their licenses. Nothing in this license limits any right you have under an open-source license that applies to a bundled component.

8. No warranty and limits of liability

Hangar is provided "as is", without warranty, and our liability is limited, as set out in the Terms of Service. Please keep your own backups of important files before you process them.

9. Termination

This license lasts until it is terminated. It ends automatically if you break its terms. On termination, you must stop using Hangar and remove it from your devices. The sections on ownership, restrictions, and disclaimers continue to apply afterward.

10. Governing law

This license is governed by the applicable law, and it does not take away any consumer rights you have where you live.
