From the recording
1 file went in and Hangar wrote 1 file. It is the same run as in the recording, with the real names and sizes. Your originals are never changed.

How it works
MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM and any other video with sound.
Original copies the audio out as it is, with no quality loss. MP3 and AAC take a bitrate from 64 to 320 kbps, 192 by default. WAV is uncompressed.
Each video gives you one audio file, and the videos stay exactly as they were.
New to Hangar? How to run a tool, step by step
Choose the format
Original changes nothing: the audio inside the video comes out exactly as recorded. MP3, AAC and WAV re-encode it when you need a specific format.
The exact track, with no quality loss.
Best for editing, archiving and anything you will process further.
Plays on every device, at the bitrate you choose.
Best for listening on the go and sharing a talk.
An uncompressed file any editor opens.
Best for audio and video editing software.
Every setting, explained in the Extract audio guide Format · Bitrate
The alternative
For a short clip you don’t mind sharing, a website does the job. Video files are big, though, and every one has to upload before you get anything back.
