Pick the canvas

Three ready sizes, each exported at double resolution.

The canvas sets the shape of the image. Whichever you pick, the PNG comes out at twice the artboard size, so text stays crisp on high-resolution screens. Custom and Fit content cover everything else.

  • Open Graph

    Start here

    1200 × 630, saved as 2400 × 1260.

Best for link previews on social and chat apps.

  • Square

Best for Instagram and LinkedIn feed posts.

  • Story

    1080 × 1920, saved as 2160 × 3840.

Best for stories and vertical formats.

One app, one payment

HTML to Image is one of 74 tools.

The same app makes mockups, carousels, QR codes and backgrounds, and handles your PDFs, images, video and audio too. One payment covers every tool.

A typical routine

Where HTML to Image fits

  1. Step 1HTML to Image
  2. Step 2Resize images
  3. Step 3Compress images

Render the image at double size, scale copies for each platform, then compress them so they load fast.

The alternative

Why not just take a browser screenshot?

A browser screenshot is free and fine for a quick look. When the image has to be an exact size and look finished, it gets fiddly.

Questions

Before you download

More answers in the help center.

Is it really free?

Every tool is free for 3 days, with no account and no card. After that, Hangar is a one-time payment from $45, with updates for the version you buy. There is no subscription.

How big is the exported PNG?

Twice the artboard. An Open Graph canvas of 1200 × 630 saves as a 2400 × 1260 PNG.

Can I make a PNG with a transparent background?

Yes. Keep the canvas transparent and only the page elements are drawn.

Can I paste HTML instead of opening a file?

No. Save the markup as an .html file and add it to the queue.

Does it work on Windows?

No. HTML to Image works on a Mac only. On Windows the tool shows as unavailable.

Can I move elements before exporting?

Yes. Hangar identifies meaningful elements and groups, then lets you move, resize, rotate, and change their opacity on the artboard.

Does it run JavaScript from the page?

No. Scripts are blocked during capture. The export is a static PNG using fonts installed on your computer or saved next to the page.

Does anything get uploaded?

No. Your files are processed on your computer and never sent anywhere. Hangar sends anonymous usage counts to improve the app, never file names or contents, and you can turn that off in Settings.

Does one license cover Mac and Windows?

Yes. A license works on any mix of Mac and Windows computers. Solo covers 1 computer, Crew 3 and Fleet 10.
