Make JPG, PNG, WebP and AVIF images smaller or larger by width, height or percent, right in your browser. For platform sizes and hundreds at once, Hangar runs on your Mac or PC.
Hangar sizes a folder of images for Instagram, YouTube or any frame you set, with the same settings. Below is a real run on a Mac.

How it works
JPG, PNG, WebP and BMP. Each row shows the size now and the size it will have.
Choose a platform such as Instagram or YouTube, or set a longest edge, an exact size or a percentage.
Open the Resize studio to see each image framed, move a crop if needed, then run. Each copy keeps its name and format.
New to Hangar? How to run a tool, step by step
Choose how to size
Longest edge keeps each photo’s shape and never enlarges it. Presets and exact sizes set both sides, so you choose to fit the whole photo with a fill or to fill the frame and crop.
Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, X and more, nothing cut off.
Best for social posts, covers and thumbnails.
Caps the long side, keeps the shape.
Best for websites, galleries and email.
A set width and height, fitted, cropped or stretched.
Best for grids, banners and templates.

The alternative
Your computer’s photo apps are free, already installed and fine for resizing one picture. Batches and exact social frames are where they get slow.
Who uses it
Make square, portrait and story versions of the same photos without cropping a product in half.
Hangar for marketers and content teamsBring a mixed batch of product photos to the exact frame your store asks for.
Cap a whole batch at 1600 or 2048 pixels on the longest side before it ships.
One app, one payment
The same app converts, compresses, resizes and cleans up photos, and does the same kind of work for PDFs, video and audio. One payment covers every tool.
Save it as a chain
Resize a batch to its final size, mark every photo and compress the result, ready to post in one run.
How chains workEvery tool is free for 3 days, with no account and no card. After that, Hangar is a one-time payment from $45, with updates for the version you buy. There is no subscription.
Pick the Instagram preset and choose Square or Portrait post. Every image gets that exact size, with a soft blurred copy of the photo filling the space around it.
Yes. Click Adjust on that image, or choose This image in the Resize studio, and change only its settings.
Yes. Use fit-inside to keep the whole image within the box, or fill-and-crop to cover it exactly while preserving the aspect ratio. Stretch is there too when you want an exact fit regardless.
With Longest edge or Percentage, no: Never upscale is on by default, so a small image is left as it is. An exact size with a background, or fill and crop, always makes the full frame, so a small image can be enlarged to fill it.
Yes. Set the focal point so the crop keeps the part of the image that matters.
Not directly yet. Convert them to JPEG or PNG first with the Convert Images tool, then resize as usual.
No. Your files are processed on your computer and never sent anywhere. Hangar sends anonymous usage counts to improve the app, never file names or contents, and you can turn that off in Settings.
Yes. A license works on any mix of Mac and Windows computers. Solo covers 1 computer, Crew 3 and Fleet 10.
