Turn two photos into a before and after a client can feel: an interactive slider in one HTML file, an animated GIF, or a still in six layouts. Test the slider in the Image Comparison studio before you export. Both photos stay on your computer.

Image Comparison in three steps
The first is Before, the second After. Photos, SVG and camera RAW all work; Swap flips them.
Set the starting position, labels, divider and handle. Choose a layout for stills.
Send the file, or copy the slider’s HTML into your site. It needs nothing from the internet.
New to Hangar? How to run a tool, step by step
Choose the format
The slider and the GIF use the Seam layout, one frame with a movable cut. Stills can also be a Pair, a Masthead, a Contact print, an Overlap or a Cover with a headline.
Drag the divider to reveal Before and After.
Best for client pages, portfolios and case studies.
The divider sweeps across on a loop.
Best for social posts, email and chat.
PNG or JPEG in one of six layouts.
Best for decks, print and feeds that need one frame.

The alternative
Slider plugins and web tools are often free and fit neatly into a site builder. They need your images hosted online, and they make a slider and nothing else.
Who uses it
Put the raw frame and the final edit side by side as a slider on your portfolio.
Hangar for photographersShow a room before and after the work as a GIF a client can forward.
Drop a slider of the old and new site into a case study page with one paste.
Hangar for agencies and studiosOne app, one payment
The same app converts, compresses, resizes and cleans up photos, and does the same kind of work for PDFs, video and audio. One payment covers every tool.
A typical routine
Crop both shots to the same frame and mark them as yours, then build the before and after for the client.
Every tool is free for 3 days, with no account and no card. After that, Hangar is a one-time payment from $45, with updates for the version you buy. There is no subscription.
Upload the .html file and link to or embed it. Or click Copy HTML after the export and paste the code where your site builder accepts custom HTML.
Camera and location data are not copied. The two file names, without extensions, are written in as image descriptions, so rename private files first.
Exactly two. The first in the queue is Before and the second is After. If you add more, Hangar asks you to remove the extras.
No. The file embeds both images and contains no external scripts or links, so it works from a folder as well as from a web page.
Only the Seam layout is a single frame with one cut for a slider or a sweep to move. The other layouts show two separate frames, so they export as a PNG or JPEG.
Hangar flags the mismatch. Cover crops both to one frame, and Contain keeps every edge. Best results come from images taken from the same viewpoint.
No. Your files are processed on your computer and never sent anywhere. Hangar sends anonymous usage counts to improve the app, never file names or contents, and you can turn that off in Settings.
Yes. A license works on any mix of Mac and Windows computers. Solo covers 1 computer, Crew 3 and Fleet 10.
Then pay once, from $45, for every tool and the updates for your version. No subscription. 30-day refund.See plans
