Fix a scan that came out of order, turn sideways pages upright and drop the pages nobody needs. Make one change across a whole batch, or drag thumbnails into place in the Page studio. Hangar saves a new copy on your computer and never touches the original.

Tour the Studio

Organize pages in three steps
Drop one file or a batch. Each one comes back as a new copy with -organized in its name.
Keep odd or even pages, delete pages such as 1, 5-7, or reverse the order. It applies to every PDF in the queue.
Drag pages into place, rotate, duplicate or delete them, and add blank pages between sections. That file follows your plan, the rest follow the panel.
New to Hangar? How to run a tool, step by step
Choose how to fix it
Panel settings apply to every file and use each file’s original page numbers. The Page studio is for the one file that needs its own order.
Keeps pages 1, 3, 5 and drops the rest.
Best for removing blank backs from a two-sided scan.
Turns the whole document back to front.
Best for a scan that came through the feeder backwards.
Drag, rotate, duplicate, delete and add blank pages.
Best for a draft that needs its own page plan.
Every setting, explained in the Organize pages guide Reverse page order · Delete pages · Keep · Rotate · Insert blank pages
The alternative
Preview can drag, rotate and delete pages in one PDF, and it is free. It runs out when you have many files, or a Windows PC.
Who uses it
Fix contract scans that came out back to front or with sideways pages before they are filed.
Move sections, add a blank divider and drop old pages from a manuscript PDF.
Remove the cover page from every handout in a single run.
One app, one payment
The same app merges, splits, signs, redacts and reads scanned PDFs, and does the same kind of work for images, video and audio. One payment covers every tool.
A typical routine
Fix the page order first. Then number the pages and shrink the file for sharing.
Every tool is free for 3 days, with no account and no card. After that, Hangar is a one-time payment from $45, with updates for the version you buy. There is no subscription.
Yes. Type 1 in Delete pages and every PDF in the queue loses its first page.
The form setup is not carried over, so fields may stop working. Organize the pages before you fill in a form, or keep the original for filling.
Yes. Rotation is per page, and it adds to whatever angle a page already carries, so you can straighten a single sideways scan.
Yes. In the Page studio, hover a gap between pages and click the plus sign to insert a blank page there. It takes the size of the page before it.
The organized copy has no bookmarks, and links that jump to another page of the same document stop working. Web links, comments, and the pages themselves are kept, and your original PDF is not changed.
No. Your files are processed on your computer and never sent anywhere. Hangar sends anonymous usage counts to improve the app, never file names or contents, and you can turn that off in Settings.
Yes. A license works on any mix of Mac and Windows computers. Solo covers 1 computer, Crew 3 and Fleet 10.
