Mark drafts as DRAFT or CONFIDENTIAL, put your logo on every page, or lay a faded watermark across a proof. Set it once for a batch, or place it by eye in the Stamp Studio, which shows each page exactly as it will be saved. Proofs and briefs stay private.

From the recording
1 file went in and Hangar wrote 1 file. It is the same run as in the recording, with the real names and sizes. Your originals are never changed.

How it works
Type the words, with tokens for the page number, total pages, date and file name. Logos can be PNG, JPG, WebP, BMP or SVG.
Snap it to one of nine positions or drag it in the Stamp Studio. Set size, opacity and rotation, and choose all pages, the first, the last or a range.
Each copy ends in -stamped and the page’s own text is unchanged. Customize one file in the Studio when it needs a different stamp.
New to Hangar? How to run a tool, step by step
Choose the placement
Single puts one stamp where you choose. Tiled repeats it across the page. Behind page content blends it in, so the page’s own text reads on top.
One stamp per page, in one of nine spots or anywhere in the Studio.
Best for status marks, logos and page footers.
The stamp repeated across the whole page.
Best for proof watermarks with a client name.
The mark sits under the text, like a background watermark.
Best with a dark stamp at low opacity.

The alternative
Online tools can put a word across a PDF with nothing to install. For client proofs and branded deliverables, here is where they differ.
Who uses it
Stamp your workspace logo and a footer on every page of a client brief.
Hangar for agencies and studiosTile a faded client name across every page of a PDF proof.
Mark drafts and confidential papers, with today’s date filled in on every page.
One app, one payment
The same app merges, splits, signs, redacts and reads scanned PDFs, and does the same kind of work for images, video and audio. One payment covers every tool.
A typical routine
Stamp your logo on every page. Then number the pages and attach your terms to each file.
Every tool is free for 3 days, with no account and no card. After that, Hangar is a one-time payment from $45, with updates for the version you buy. There is no subscription.
No. The stamp is added as a picture, so its words cannot be selected or searched. The page’s own text stays selectable and searchable.
Someone with a PDF editor could. A stamp marks a document, it does not secure it. Protect the stamped copy with Encrypt PDF to stop casual changes.
Yes. Lower the opacity, tile it across the page, and turn on Behind page content so the text reads on top of it.
Yes. Stamp text, a logo image, or both together, positioned and scaled however you like.
Yes. Tokens for the page number, total pages, date, and filename are replaced on each page as it is stamped.
No. Your files are processed on your computer and never sent anywhere. Hangar sends anonymous usage counts to improve the app, never file names or contents, and you can turn that off in Settings.
Yes. A license works on any mix of Mac and Windows computers. Solo covers 1 computer, Crew 3 and Fleet 10.
