So that we can let go of one more app from our desktop :) I'm looking for: - Video playback of any or most of the file formats - Audio playback of any or most of the file formats - Fast Forward / backward with keyboard shortcuts
Custom fonts (loaded from our local computer) would be ideal for any of of the studios if I'm being honest. Fonts are major part of our brand identity so it would be good to have something to support custom fonts. Current: PDF Studio > Annotate let's you select some fonts for text you add. PDF Studio > Edit content however doesn't let you edit the font family at all and you only get size. Ideal: All Hangar studios and tools can show a select few fonts to keep the menu clean but have an option to load custom fonts. This would be great for tools like Carousel too.
Deal with "creep" in a folded booklet or add space, shift contents or trim from the edges
Add text or graphics according to a data source (eg CSV)
Fills sheets with multiple copies of the same page (e.g. for business cards, labels). Rotate pages if more will fit.
arrange consecutive pages on a larger sheet
Hello Hanger team, I uploaded a video with Korean speech and used Hanger’s automatic caption feature. The Korean captions appear to be generated, but exporting the video fails even after selecting DejaVu Sans. The error message is: Caption text contains a character the bundled font cannot render (U+D55C). Export stopped instead of producing empty boxes. The character U+D55C is the Korean character 한. This seems to indicate that the bundled caption fonts do not support Korean characters. Could you please add a Korean-compatible caption font, such as Noto Sans KR, or provide an option to upload or select a custom font that supports Korean? Thank you for your help.
I run Hangar on one Windows machine beside a local AI agent that already does most of my batch file work from the terminal. Today Hangar.exe has no command-line entry point. Hangar.exe --help opens the window and returns nothing, so anything Hangar does better than my scripts, like HEIC decode, background removal, and the Studios, is out of reach for automation, and in practice I end up not opening Hangar at all. A good outcome looks like: hangar run <chain-name> <file-or-folder> --out <dir>. It runs a saved chain with no window, exits non-zero on failure, and prints a JSON summary of inputs, outputs, bytes, and elapsed time, which is what the runs log already stores. This is a smaller step than the MCP server on your roadmap, and it would make that server thin when it arrives, because both would call the same runner.
I was trying to turn a PDF to text, and for some reason, it's pulling the very top of the second line and merging it with the part of the first line that overlaps, turning it to gibberish. I would expect it to render the text normally. I've attached the example.
As of now, looking for PDF's - ability to see it full page.
Id love to see the ability to have graphic overlays over videos. I think this is already possible partly with the watermark but id love to be able to just throw some overlays (text etc) over the video. The overlays need not be super complex - just the ability to throw an overlay.
I’d love to see a video‑chain feature that eliminates the need to download a video first. Instead of downloading a video, uploading it to Hangar, and then adding subtitles, I should be able to paste the video’s source link directly. Hangar would then fetch the video from that link, upload it to its own servers, apply the subtitles, and finally provide me with a ready‑to‑download link.
I’d love to see a good-quality local Text-to-Speech tool added to Hangar. The basic use case would simply be: paste or import text, choose a language and natural-sounding voice, and generate an audio file (WAV/MP3) that can be used anywhere. But it would become especially powerful if it could also work with Hangar’s existing subtitle, transcription and video tools. For example, if I have an SRT file, Hangar could use the subtitle text to generate a voiceover while respecting the existing timings, and then optionally use that audio to replace the original audio in a video. It would also be great to support multiple languages and voices, with natural-sounding narration rather than robotic TTS, and make it possible to process several files through Chains or batch workflows.
Hi, could you add a .svg file compression support?
A lot of my file work is the same chain over and over: photos off the phone to WebP at deck size, recordings to normalised audio. Today each run means opening Hangar and dragging. A good outcome is assigning a chain to a folder. Anything that lands in that folder runs through the chain and lands in a destination folder, logged like any other run. It is the hands-off version of chains, and it fits the local-first pitch because the watcher runs on my machine.
Chains live in hangar.db on one machine. I keep the rest of my pipeline definitions in a git repository and would like Hangar's chains to sit beside them. A good outcome is export and import of a chain as a JSON or YAML file, plus an optional chains folder that Hangar watches so a chain placed there appears in the app. Combined with a command-line runner, this gives one source of truth for a chain that I can run by hand in Hangar, from a script, or from an agent.
many Ai models will use a image to continue a or create a video, so grabbing the last frame should be fairly easy or even the first frame to create a pre-timeline
Is hangar able to edit pdf by selecting a rectangular area. Then we can eyedrop similar colour, then we can fill up the rectangular area with eyedropper colour?
